Volunteering

When parents and family members volunteer their time and talents, they not only support teachers and students but also model the Christian value of service to others. By helping in classrooms, assisting with events, or supporting school activities, volunteers strengthen the sense of community that is central to our Catholic education. Their presence demonstrates to students the importance of generosity, cooperation, and stewardship. Volunteering is also a rewarding experience, allowing family members to build meaningful connections with the school while making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of our students.

The VIRTUS online program assists the Church in being a safe haven for children and being a messenger for preventing child sexual abuse within the Church and society in general. Any adult who is employed or volunteers their time working with children at St. Therese Catholic School must be VIRTUS-trained before they can do so.  The VIRTUS program consists of an online training session and a criminal background check.
