Our 3K and 4K program is a place where children feel welcomed, known, and part of something bigger—from the classroom to the school and parish community. We work hard to create an environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and confident as they begin their school experience. Through hands-on activities and play, children explore, create, and learn while building friendships, independence, and a strong sense of self in a caring, faith-filled setting.
Each day follows a consistent, child-friendly routine that helps students feel secure and ready to learn. We begin with a morning check-in and question of the day, followed by table toys that strengthen fine motor skills and ease students into the day. During carpet time, we gather for songs, calendar work, weather, counting activities, and group discussions. Students also take pride in having a weekly classroom job—such as calendar helper, weather helper, book adviser, music chooser, teacher helper, milk counter, or line leader—which helps build responsibility and a sense of belonging.
The day includes music and movement, large group learning, and special classes like Mass, Art, Music, or Gym. Students also enjoy story time, snack, recess, rest time, and a variety of center-based and small group activities focused on literacy, math, science, and creative play. This predictable structure allows children to build independence while still having plenty of opportunities for exploration and fun.
In both 3K and 4K, learning happens through engaging themes that connect all areas of development—religion, reading, math, science, social studies, and social-emotional growth. Students build important early skills like recognizing letters and numbers, strengthening fine motor skills, learning how to share and cooperate, and growing in confidence and empathy. At the same time, they begin to understand God’s love through prayer, Bible stories, and simple acts of service that help them care for others.
We know every child comes to us with different experiences, so we meet each student where they are and help them grow from there. Whether they are learning school routines, making new friends, or beginning early academic skills, we support and guide them every step of the way. Favorite activities—like pumpkin investigations, making applesauce, hatching butterflies, celebrating Dr. Seuss works week, and seasonal projects—make learning exciting and memorable. These experiences help our youngest learners develop a love for school, a curiosity about the world, and a strong foundation rooted in faith and community.
Our 4K students grow in both confidence and independence as they prepare for kindergarten. They continue developing social skills like sharing, taking turns, making friends, and working through conflicts in kind and respectful ways. Students learn how to focus during group time, manage their emotions, and try new things—even when something feels challenging—building resilience and a positive attitude toward learning.
Academically, 4K students build strong early reading and math skills. They learn letter names and sounds, begin blending and rhyming, and start recognizing sight words. Students practice writing their first and last names, work with numbers through 100, and explore counting, patterns, shapes, and simple addition and subtraction. Hands-on activities also introduce them to science and the world around them, with topics like weather, plants, animals, and community life. Throughout it all, faith remains an important part of the day as students learn about God’s love, pray together, attend Mass, and grow in their understanding of the Holy Trinity and the Holy Family.
