Athletics play an important role in the education and development of our students. Through participation in sports, students learn valuable life lessons such as teamwork, responsibility, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. Being part of a team encourages students to support one another, work toward shared goals, and develop respect for teammates, coaches, and opponents. In addition, athletics encourage healthy habits and an active lifestyle that support overall well-being.
Our athletic programs are made possible through the dedication and leadership of our volunteer parents, whose time, energy, and commitment provide students with meaningful opportunities to grow both on and off the court.
St. Therese athletic teams participate in the Southern Wisconsin Catholic Grade School League. Team sports offered for students in grades 5-8 include co-ed volleyball, girls basketball, and boys basketball. There is a weekly basketball skills program offered for students in grade 4.

Athletic AssociationOur Athletic Association Board consists of five volunteer positions, and they meet on the first Wednesday of the even-numbered months at 6:30pm. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend meetings.

BASKETBALL REGISTRATIONREGISTER BY November 6St. Therese of Lisieux will offer programs for Introductory Basketball (Grade 4) and Basketball Teams (Grades 5-8). Team participation is open to students who attend STL School (St. Henry Campus) or are participating members of the STL Pastorate Religious Education Programs.
- The 4th grade basketball program is offered to both boys and girls and will concentrate on introduction to the game and teaching fundamentals. No sports physical is needed for participation.
- The 5-8 grade basketball season will run from December 7, when practices can begin, to March 13 when the league tournaments conclude. Games will begin January 11, 2027.
- The Southern Wisconsin league does not charge a league fee. To help offset the cost of referees, etc., a small admission fee is charged for each game. The admission fee is $2 for adults, $1 for students and children under 5 are free.
- The Southern Wisconsin league runs four end-of-season tournaments, one for each level and gender. All of these tournaments will be held at separate locations over two weekends.
Please return the registration form, fee, and informed consent no later than Friday, November 6th to St. Therese School (St. Henry Campus). There will be no late registrations accepted after November 6th to allow us to turn our rosters in to the league on time. A current physical must be on file before the athlete is permitted to begin practice.
